1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy describes how Realhive, operated by RealWinners Technologies, Nairobi, Kenya, collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our platform at joinrealhive.space.
2. Data We Collect
We collect your name and email at registration; phone number including M-Pesa number for bookings and payouts; profile photo (optional); space details and photos for hosts; messages sent through the Platform; and reviews you submit. We also collect IP address, device type, and pages visited automatically.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to create and manage your account, process bookings and payments, send booking confirmations and receipts, facilitate M-Pesa payouts to Hosts, provide customer support, improve the Platform, and comply with Kenyan law including the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with IntaSend (payment processing), Supabase (database hosting), Google (Maps API), and Vercel (hosting). All providers are contractually bound to protect your data. We may disclose data to Kenyan authorities when required by law.
5. Data Retention
Active account data is retained while your account is active. Financial records are retained for 7 years as required by Kenyan tax law. Communications are retained for 2 years. After retention periods expire, data is securely deleted.
6. Your Rights (Kenya Data Protection Act 2019)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact info@joinrealhive.space. We will respond within 21 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner at odpc.go.ke.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security including HTTPS encryption, encrypted database storage, Row-Level Security policies, and limited staff access. In the event of a breach, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Commissioner within 72 hours.
8. Cookies
We use only essential session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
